Beach Wheelchair Rental Program Update

At this time, our fleet of beach wheelchairs is currently out of commission due to irreparable damage. The Haystack Rock Awareness Program (HRAP) is applying for grant-based funding to purchase a new fleet of beach wheelchairs. We anticipate reinstating the rental program by the start of Summer 2024. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Once the program is reinstated, we plan to implement an app-based reservation system and install self-checkout lockers. Additional information regarding the new system will be shared at a later date.

In addition, we are currently seeking potential volunteers to help us support the operation of our wheelchair rental program. If interested, contact Kelli Ennis at ennis@ci.cannon-beach.or.us to express your interest.

Please Note: DO NOT USE THE ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM AT WWW.BAHAMA BOARDZ.COM. THIS SYSTEM IS NOT CURRENTLY UNDER THEIR OWNERSHIP.

Beach Wheelchairs are currently available for rent in Seaside, Oregon, and Manzanita, Oregon.

The beach belongs to all of us. No matter what.

All Oregon beaches are public with regular accesses thanks to the 1967 Oregon Beach Bill; however, we recognize that accessibility on our rugged coast can be limited.
